Frankfurt School of Finance& Management is one of Germany's foremost institutes of higher education. Founded in 1956 as Bankakademie, the new institute rapidly became the national benchmark for the continuing education of the financial sector employees. Towards the end of the 1970s, the program portfolio was expanded to embrace general management studies, and in 1990, the HfB (Hochschule für Bankwirtschaft) was added as an academic arm, and was accredited with full university status in 2004. In 2007, all educational and advisory services were brought together under one roof as Frankfurt School of Finance& Management. Frankfurt School is a state-recognized business school with a full-degree awarding power.

Today, the Frankfurt School offers an extensive portfolio of nationally and FIBAA-accredited academic study programmes, from Bachelor's to general and specialist Master's and doctoral (Ph. D) programmes. These are accompanied by numerous vocational programmes and seminars, by means of which experienced professionals can expand their knowledge and skills. With over 150,000 participants in its Executive Education programmes, the Frankfurt School is currently the German market leader in further education for financial sector professionals. Employees from diverse fields of banking appreciate both high standards and outstanding reputation of the School's programmes, as well as their availability at more than 80 locations across the country. Frankfurt School of Finance& Management has focused its research activities at four research centers, each with its own distinctive core competency. The research centers are engaged in ongoing exchanges of knowledge with academic and commercial partners, thereby ensuring that their programmes contents are constantly re-attuned to the latest state of the art. Frankfurt Schools International Advisory (former Bankakademie International) has a long track record of expertise in microfinance, housing finance, SME finance and fund management (e.g. European Fund for Southeast Europe).

The main facilities of International Advisory Services are summarized as, to seek to contribute to expanding the "development finance frontier"through innovative solutions, to offer concept development, project design, research, technical assistance and training services , to construct tailor-made solutions with a partnership approach, to provide hands-on know-how with the objective to create tangible results, to link consultancy with research through access to the Center of Development of Finance and to contribute speaker by invitation to international conferences and symposiyms
